New Toggle Element to hide files, Adjustment Flash Message & more

Dear colleagues,

During the day a new release will be rolled out on all websites. This release will bring the following changes:

Usability Enhancements

  • [IMPORTANT] New Toggle Element to Hide Files in Global Search
    Following feedback regarding the visibility of certain files in the global search results, we have introduced a toggle element. This feature allows you to hide all files from the global search, helping you manage file visibility more effectively.

Path: Website > Settings > Site Settings > Solr: Hide files in global search

  • Info Flash Message
    The display of the info flash message in the frontend view has been updated.

  • Improved Caching for Latest Content Teaser Elements
    The caching behavior for the latest content teaser elements has been enhanced to ensure that changes are reflected on the frontend almost in real-time.

  • Migration from Twitter to X
    The Twitter icon and label have been updated to X in the Backend module for social media and the Icon with link content element.
  • Additional Adjustments to Icon with Link
    A description text has been added for this element. The input field for the link is now mandatory, and the option for Google+ has been removed.

Accessibility Improvements

  • Keyboard Navigation Focus Adjustment
    The behavior for keyboard navigation has been adjusted. Now, every interactive content element will display a border when focused.

  • Enhanced Screen Reader Usability
    Missing or incomplete labels have been added or reworked to support users relying on screen readers. These updates make button functionalities clearer. This initiative will continue across all extensions to further enhance accessibility.

Stability Improvements

  • TypoScript Code Cleanup
    Unnecessary TypoScript code has been removed from our project.
